EC’s efforts in eCall deployment earn ADAC recognition

"Gelbe Engel" award presented to Commissioner Viviane Reding on 17 January 2008.


German automobile club ADAC has recognised the European Commission as a winner of its annual “Gelbe Engel” (Yellow Angel) award for its efforts and commitment to the introduction of the pan-European emergency call system eCall.

 

Mrs Viviane Reding, EU Commissioner for Information Society and Media, personally accepted the second place honours in the category of “Innovation and the Environment” at the Gelbe Engel awards ceremony in Munich on 17 January 2008.

 

The prestigious Gelbe Engel awards are awarded by the ADAC management and its members in areas such as Innovation and Environment, favorite car, and best brand.
